Learn About the Design and Working Procedures of a Hydraulic Ram and Hydraulic Lift
Reverse engineering is the process of deconstructing a product to see how it works.
Under this process, students of the Mechanical Engineering Department (IMEC) dismantled a hydraulic ram and hydraulic lift to learn about their design and working procedures.
During the first day of the workshop, emphasis was given on the following:
– to identify the correct spanner
– identify tools as well as different parts of a machine by their names.
– safety precautions while disassembling,
– Preparing the job card
At IMEC, we emphasise learning by doing.
