Cyber Security Awareness Program – Navigating Modern Cyber Risks
The Department of Computer Science Engineering (CSE) and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AIML) at Infinity Management and Engineering College (IMEC), Sagar, organized a Cyber Security Awareness Program on “Navigating Modern Cyber Risks: Awareness & Prevention” in collaboration with the CISCO NIT Foundation (NetAcad Academy) on 21 August 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Seminar Hall (ONC). The programme was open to all students and aimed at creating awareness about emerging cyber threats and the importance of safe and responsible digital practices.
The session was conducted by Mr. Sushit Soni, Certified Cisco NetAcad Trainer, who shared valuable insights into modern cybersecurity challenges. With expertise in AI-driven Cyber Threat Management, Fraud Prevention, Ethical Hacking, Cloud Security, and IoT Security, he provided students with practical knowledge about identifying, preventing, and responding to various cyber risks.
The programme focused on increasing students’ awareness of rapidly evolving cyber threats, online fraud, ethical hacking, cloud-based security challenges, IoT vulnerabilities, and the role of Artificial Intelligence in modern cybersecurity. The expert also emphasized the importance of cybersecurity awareness, responsible digital behaviour, strong security practices, and proactive measures to protect personal and organizational information.
The interactive session provided students with an opportunity to learn directly from a certified industry trainer and understand real-world cybersecurity challenges. The programme encouraged students to develop a security-conscious mindset and equipped them with useful knowledge for safer use of digital technologies.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Navdeep Kaur Saluja, Principal and HOD, CSE Department, and Dr. Sarvesh Singh Rai, HOD, AIML Department. The programme was coordinated by Er. Shiva Guru, Assistant Professor, CSE-AIML Department, and Er. Muskan Kurmi, Assistant Professor, CSE Department.
The Cyber Security Awareness Program successfully enhanced students’ understanding of contemporary cyber threats and preventive measures, while promoting cybersecurity awareness and responsible digital practices among the participants.
